- Adjustable Tilt: The swivel knob on your Chromcraft chair is pre-set to provide a comfortable and stable experience, but we know that everyone's preferences are different. The swivel tension can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Find the Perfect Tension:
To ensure your Chromcraft chair provides the perfect level of comfort and support, it's essential to adjust the spring tension to your liking. Here's how:- Locate the spring knob: Find the small metal knob located on the underside of the chair seat.
- Adjust the spring tension: Turn the spring knob clockwise or counterclockwise to compress or loosen the spring as desired. This will allow you to customize the level of comfort and support for your seat.
- Eliminate noise, if needed: If a slight creaking or squeaking sound develops while adjusting the spring tension, simply turn the knob lightly in either direction to eliminate it.
Pre-Set Setting: The swivel knob is initially set at 180 pounds of resistance for optimal stability.
Adjustment Range: For your convenience, the swivel tension can be adjusted within a range of 90 pounds to 300 pounds. This allows you to customize the feel and responsiveness of the chair to suit your individual preferences.

Wood-clad Base Options:
